Aoibhin Garrihy Talks About Jamie and 'The Fall' Season Two

We shared a few quotes from this interview here and here before.

Herald.ie - HE is an international heartthrob with legions of female followers thanks to his turn as Christian Grey in the hotly anticipated 50 Shades of Grey movie.

But despite IFTA-winning Jamie Dornan's international fame and dashing good looks, Aoibhin Garrihy insists her new co-star is far from a difficult customer when it comes to his behaviour on set.

The blonde beauty has just completed working alongside the former Calvin Klein model on the BBC thriller The Fall - no doubt her biggest acting gig to-date.

Alongside RAW's Tara Lee, chatty Aoibhin spent weeks travelling back and forth between Dublin and Belfast to shoot her episodes for the hit drama. The ex-Fair City actress told The Diary that dad-of-one Jamie (inset) couldn't have been nicer when hanging around in between scenes.

"I don't know Jamie personally but professionally he's a very hard working guy and he just came straight off the set of 50 Shades of Grey to do The Fall, into hard months of filming that, and was amazing," she said.

"He deserves all the success he gets. He's a really happy-go-lucky kind of guy too, and he turns it on when he needs to work.

"He's just a lovely guy," she added.

Castleknock based Aoibhin, who is known for playing Neasa Dillon in RTE's long-running Carrigstown soap, will feature as Lyndsey Conklin in the Belfast-set chiller, which follows serial killer Paul Spector and his underworld antics.

The 26-year-old revealed that the second season is due to air on the small screen in the autumn.

And Aoibhin, who insisted The Fall was one of the best productions she's had the pleasure to be involved with so far, said that she can't wait to see the finished product.

"We've finished filming now so it's all done and dusted and I'm really looking forward to seeing it come together, what it will all look like," she said.

"They're talking about it airing in November, so I think all the cast will get together to watch it before then."
